Nine hundred years of time and space, and I've never been slapped by someone's mother. Well, you're very similar heights. Maybe you should wear labels. Oh, I always rip out the last page of a book.
Well here goes – I am very nervous writing my first blog and I don’t know why.
I am leaving my corporate job that I have been at for 16 years and am so excited to be pursuing my passion and interest in all avenues of art making. Having a 9-5 job has limited what I can and can’t do which is why it will be very liberating to spend all of my day doing the things that blow my skirt up. I can’t wait to be able to plot my own path and share what I love. I want to post on my website ways of art making without a huge financial outlay, easy ways to create fantastic results which don’t need much experience.
I live in the amazing country of South Africa and also want to showcase artists, galleries and spaces and events that I am surrounded by. There is so much to inspire, comment on and share. I go to Bronwen Findlay’s classes every week. This week I finished a watercolour I have been working on. I wanted to play with skin tones and used cherubs for the exercise.
Here’s hoping you have a happy creative week.
